The MP5 is a 9x19mm Parabellum submachine gun developed by German engineers in the 1960’s and manufactured by H&K. Part of its popularity came with its reliability and maneuverability. Lightweight and air-cooled, the MP5 fires from a closed bolt position. Since its production it has been adopted by a variety of military, law enforcement, and security organizations making it one of the most widely used submachine guns in the world.
